Gabi The Rising Star of Detroit House Scene

Born in Germany and raised in Detroit. She grew up playing classical piano and signing, there was even a some saxophone involved in her musical education. All this classical background  waters have not been touched by the dance music until she was 16-17, when she first heard a DJ play. She thought of it quite weird, but she loved it so much that started collecting records, taught herself how to play, how to mix, how to match the beat and get the mood going. She started dabbling with sound a bit, and was lucky to get into groups and find mentors to guide her through the musical avenues. She’d always be the only girl on the crew, so she’s never been lacking attention, always others would be ready to help out and guide. “While it is sometimes not nice to have that much attention just underlining the fact that you’re a woman, – she says, – it is useful  and helpful still”, (since men even these days strongly consider this a male profession), “but it was nice to have all these ‘big brothers’ around you, always helping, showing things, telling me to try this or that, advising to try ableton and stuff.. Now I am just getting into the hardware part of it, but originally my classical piano background was very helpful, allowed me to jump right into production”… her piano and sax helped for easy understanding and building the layout of her sound.

here are some photos i’ve made while at Detroit’s Movement 2014.

Now she’s well into the Detroit scene, and world EDM scene, it’s undeground branch rather than electro-useless-nuwave that’s going so popular on all these summer festivals, Hardwells and all, no, Gabi has her own sound and direction. She is good doing this combo of tech house, deep house and techno house, but she won’t be bounded by some ceraint genre throughout the set, she goes wild and drops minimal tech with deep techno of chicago style early years, Gabi does a good job there, staying true to herself and her sound. She released several tracks on such great labels as Bronzai Records, Spain, Clear-Cut Records, Germany & Mintec Musik, Detroit. Although she says she’s been involved with the Movement festival for the past 2 years, she’s never had a chance to play there yet, until this year, when she did a 2 hour set opener for the Made in Detroit Stage., played deep tech and techno, hard ending, just sublime set, it is the one below, definitely press play!!

ELectric Daisy Carnival EDC Boobies

Electric Daisy Carnival Outfits & T-Shirts Ideas

yes, the marvelous Electric Daisy Carnival is coming, it’s grand and grander part, the Las Vegas Event 2014, it’ll be huge and amazing, all the top DJs are going to be there, all the cutest ravers and craziest candy licking eyelid flipping witty outfitted kids. me, i am not one for candy bracelets and masks (which are getting more popular now), neither i like to put on a Borgore-like fur-hat in 90-degree F (35C) weather, when all the thoughts are about how amazing is this DJ and how much water i have left in my bottle…. and so i chose the simple, yet the elegant way of wearing EDC Fan Art T-shirts. all they display is the inverted logo of the EDC. one can wear these at any of the multiple locations EDC is held, they are universal.

EDC Logo T-Shirt (Fan Art) Flock Print

flock print is when they have the colored stuff printed with special pieces of fabric, that are forever fused into the t-shirt, thus they do not break or crack or fall off or fade, they are for real!! check out these 2 designs offered, simple and elegant, they are both flock print, and of course colors can be changed on either one, for both t-shirt and the print. to the left is my personal favorite combination for this t-shirt, – yellow logo on

black shirt.  BUY THIS T-SHIRT!!

then there’s same stuff, only white and blue combination, another personal favorite of mine..

and here we have another amazing novelty – a Glow in the Dark EDC Fan Art T-Shirt – a marvelous idea and a total eye catcher. how does it work? any bright light from projectors, photo cameras, home light bulbs, sun, of course, the best source – all these things and light producing enigmas – they all charge the image on the t-shirt, charge

the paint, the die or whatnot, and this now is flex print which is different from flock above, this is more rubbery like feeling to the print, opposed to fabric-like substance used before. this is different, but it also produces much different effect. if you’re looking for EDC Outfit Ideas and are not ready to wear candy but still want to show your love for Summer Festivals, this one is truly for you!! or or me, cause i am that guy.

do now worry about the quality and the way it works, this EDC Glow-in-the-Dark shirt might not look much, but it does glow.. i was surprised at first, thought it was ruined, it didn’t glow… then i charged it, accidentally… omg, it’s amazing. i have one and am going to use it!! =) ps. hope you’re loving the boobies – the girls down at EDC are as wild as at the Mardi Gras, i tell you!! =)

The Martinez Brothers at MOVEMENT 2014 Report HD Wallpaper Photos

How about it? The Martinez Brothers started young and are headlining some stages on festivals all over the world. With a great kick from Dennis Ferrer, they really conquered their spot in hearts of many fans. but first, a little off topic…

…with this article i am starting a series of kinda-reports on Movement 2014 in Detroit and how it all was so much fun. yes, despite the constant dry mouth caused by too much backstage free redbull, i’ve had an amazing time, made tons of high quality close up photos and, generally speaking, smoked lots of weed.. i liked it there alot… but had to prematurely leave, 3rd day was too much for me, i am a 30+ man, who is not used anymore to all this partying, so i bailed out and took an early leave on sunday after all was over. third day wouldn’t be a piece a cake for me, i realized back then, my body was aching… but let’s forget about me, just remember, keep looking in here, we are planning to publish lots of great material.. my trip to Movement was thanks to Floor To The Four and their insistence on seeing my unpleasant persona along to Detroit.. thanks, guys!!

So how about these Martinez Bros? big age difference, and the youngest one has the gut to talk to Dennis Ferrer, but these days with facebook and the likes it’s so easy to contact your favorite DJs.. no promise on their reply, but you can try… and so they are now taking part in big festivals and headlining many club nights. I;ve hear their set, it was quite fantastic, played well, proportioned light transitions coupled with great DJ Skills, Chris and Steve Martinez are those usual suspect from the street of New York, born in Bronx, heavily influenced by their surroundings which goes into their music – lots of Latin rhythms, great almost funky house beats, hard and moving tracks. these guys know how to make the crowd dance.

lets check out some of my favorite photos and hd wallpapers from The Martinez Brothers performance at Movement 2014

so here we have it, The Martinez bros put up a great performance, are great showmen, they love their music and doing it for fun. headz up and will be coming by if i ever am next to their performance!!

UltraFest 2014 Day 2 Lineup by Stage & LIVE ACT Heeadliners Review

we continue our discussion of the things that are about to unfold at Ultra Music Festival 2014 Miami, Florida USA, and in this article we’re going to touch the Live Acts for all 3 days, and talk about the second day of the festival, it’s stages, lineup and the best places, tents, arenas to be and DJs to see at Ultra 2014.  and again, i am supplying a gallery of amazing live and posed pics from previous Ultra Festivals, and a couple in there might be from Ultra Europe..

Oh yes, there are so many live acts this year!! they are amazing, you get to see what the DJ and the performers can do, musical instruments, all kinds of stuff. Here we got 2ManyDJs, they will surely deliver, i remember these guys for decades!!  Basement Jaxx is something new for me, looking forward. Chase and Status are a definite pick, they explode the crowd with dubstep horror! Cut/Copy, Dizzee Rascal, – not sure who these acts are,  Empire of the Sun is definitely ripping your eardrums right out of the head, they drop amazing bass!! Eric Prydz presents Holo, not sure who this Holo is, but sounds promising, Eric Prydz is a master of best live performances, very imaginative… example, Gesaffelstein is simply crazy to watch live . The Glitch Mob, MGMT, M.I.A. – might be interesting, i am not sure. Netsky Live sounds promising. Paul Kalkbrenner is a hoot!! definitely check out Pusha T and Sub Focus Live. and if you don’t see Trentemoller’s live act from the beginning to the end – do not come back to this blog, i won’t respect you! =) just kidding. I am though surprised that Infected Mushroom aren’t doing anything live.. weird.. usually they are all up in there doing their thing..

UltraFest HD Wallpapers Photos

for those, who want to see stuff, here you go, another 16 awesome pics from Ultra, ready to be hd wallpapers on your desktops!!

Ultra 2014 Day 2 Lineup  by Stage

Main Stage

AVICII is surely going to explode the stage at night, bringing it home. warmed up by noone else  butArmin Van Buuren, who is warmed up by Above & Beyond, and there’s Alesso, Nicky Romero, Krewella, – 3 performances not to misss, and again i am puzzled why Crewella aren’t doing anything live..  Martin Garrix, is hot, W & W are even hotter, another pretender for next year’s TOP 100 DJ MAG, or already this year’s… Blasterjaxx, Rebecca & Fiona, Moti, Mykris – the main stage looks fantastic.

Live Stage

Empire of the Sun, 2MANYDJS, Trentemoller (already told you, not watching this one – do not come back here), Paul Kalkbrenner, Gramatik, Infected Mushroom, Riff Raff, Tourist, Goldfish, Afrobeta – all the acts are looking fantastic.

Carl Cox & Friends 10 Year Anniversary

Carl Cox, Loco Dice, Dubfire, Nic Fanciulli B2B Carl Cox – WOW!! this is not to be missed, CC b2b NF – something serious. UMEK, Pete Tong is apparently Carl’s friend now, without his own stage this year, Monika Kruse is gonna deliver best bears, Kryoman is also cool.

Underground story/ Link Miami Rebels

Solomun, Tale of Us – a duet that i’ve been falling in love with for the past year, super music, deep and progressive goodness, H.O.S.H., Adriatique, Claude Vonstroke, – great performances are planned. Justin Martin, J.Phlip, Blond:ish, Kill Frenzy, Hardline B2B Danyelino B2B Hugo Bianco, MS MADA B2B Thunderpony – all these guys are all playing just a bit, half hour to hour each, so this is going to be a very intense stage. and Solomun will shut it down, he is a resident in Miami these days…

Ultra Worldwide

Dillon Francis, Flosstradamus, RL Grime, DJ Snake, GTA, Bro Safari, Been Trill, Just Blaze, Dirtyphonics, Craze, Brillz, Grandtheft – dubstep stage, it is going to rock the place, with Dillon Francis bringing it home at midnight – definitely a place to be.

UMF Radio

Cazzette, DYRO, Dannic, Ummet Ozcan, Audien, Don Diablo, Syn Cole, Vicetone, Henry Fong, Candyland, Stafford Brothers, Pegboard Nerds – this seems as a fully electro stage, maybe not to my liking.

Stage 7

Los de la Vega, Sick Individuals, Plastik Funk, White Noize, Sydney Blu, Riotgear, Stefano Noferini, Phunk Investigation, Rod B & Re Dupre, Miss Melera, Kita & Takshak, Austyn Fuller barely know 3-4 DJs from this stage, maybe i won’t be going there at all..

The Pavillion

Sanedrachunter, Spinnzinn, Dabura, DJ Sachi Toyama, Crowd Control – this is something Florida-local again, not for me.

Day 2 of Ultra Music Festival 2014 will deliver the most amazing experiences, superb sounds and mind-blowing beats!!! BE THERE!!

Ultra Music Festival 2014 Day 1 Lineup Review by Stage

in this article i want to review and talk about the headliners for UMF and touch the line up UltraFest Friday Day 1. and for those who feel that all these talking malking is useless and dry and you already know everything i have to say, well, in this case, i am attaching a little gallery of 16 photos. specially for the restless internet browsers that only want to see things.. not read, though, but see images.. no matter, the gallery follows…

Above & Beyond – this trio is going rip it for sure, Afrojack Alesso, – these 2 guys are predictable, electro, Armin Van Buuren might drop a bomp at his ASOT 650 Stage, AVICII – this guy been quiet, maybe something is coming? Carl Cox, Cirez D, David Guetta – the usual, Diplo – this is one for the first time, expect the best from him, Hardwell – mister TOP 100 DJ Mag winner, how without him? Jack U, Jamie Jones – this is going to be huge!! one headliner i really like, Kaskade, Krewella – with their troll bullcrap, i don;t like them, Loco Dice, Luciano, Marco Carola, – these 3 guys are doing good tech and techno, good choice for headliners. New World Pun, Nicky Romero, – kinda electro, getting tired. Solomon, – this is another amazing choice for a headliner, Solomon will definitely ripp the stage open!! Steve Angello, Tiesto, Zedd – these guys are the shit, plus ZEDD just headlines iTunes Festival in UK, he deserves the high praise.

and now

Ultra 2014 Day 1 Friday Lineup by Stage

Main Stage

Tiesto is bringing it home,  Kaskade, Eric Prydz pres. HOLO, ZEDD, DIPLO, Laidback Luke, Showtek – all the DJs on this stage are headliners, except for Showtek, but they are playing same music, pretty much, so Main Stage is promising to be electro to the bones

Live Stage

Gesaffelstein, MGMT, M.I.A., Basement Jaxx, Chance the Rapper, Waka Flocka – from this group i really like the first 4, especially Gesaffelstein – this guy does crazy live beats

Carl Cox & Friends 10 Year Anniversary

Carl Cox, Luciano, Marco Carola, Maceo Plex, Jon Rundell, Kryoman – this whole stage is going to rock your world, half of the performers are my favorites on this festival, i’d probably spend all my night there. Carl Cox is finishing things up here.

Underground story/ Link Miami Rebels

Jamie Jones, Art Department, Damian Lazarus, Lee Burridge, Lee Foss, Soul Clap, Fur Coat – another perfect stage, i’d love to check it out, Art Department followed by Jamie Jones – i’ll take that any day of the week!!

Ultra Worldwide

Carnage, Borgore, Adventure Club, The Glitch Mob, Datsik, Andy C, Zomboy, 3LAU – here we got the dubstep stage, although i didn’t know Andy C has switched to dubstep, but the rest of the stage are dubsteppers, plus electroheads, along with that.. plus i am sure this is going to be full of TRAP..

UMF Radio

Kill the Noise, Alvin Risk, 12th Planet, Figure, Crizzly, Paper Diamond, DVBBS, Sluggers – another fresh and contemporary stage, Kill the Noise are sure to deliver some mind-numbing rhythms, definitely make your way there for 12th Planet – they do something one will never forget!!

Stage 7

The Chainsmokers, Nate Campbell, DKS, Stanton Warriors, DJ Icey, Baby Anne, Proxxy & Lantern, Metaphysical – here we see some d’n’b, breaks, maybe some electro-dub-step, some trap, some street jukebox jungle, some other fresh styles..

The Pavilion

Andrew Parsons, Richard Fraioli, DJ Shwann, DJ Valerie Molano – more of the local FL thing? dunno any of the Djs…

All in all day 1 will surely deliver the best beats!! be there!!!
